Ocean Wanderer is inspired by the quiet majesty of whales moving through African waters.
Hand-drawn whales drift across layers of watercolour in deep blue, soft grey, white and earthy brown. Different scales and loosely illustrated forms create a sense of movement through the design - from distant silhouettes to the magnificent whale at its centre.
The washes of colour have an almost fluid quality, echoing the changing tones of the ocean and the way these gentle giants appear, disappear and travel through vast stretches of open water.
